How Whitening Works
Our 3 Core Ingredients
Phthalimido – Peroxy – Caproic acid (PAP)
This is our primary whitening ingredient. A non-invasive teeth whitening agent, which has a strong whitening effect without causing any damage to the enamel.
Whitening methods which contain hydrogen peroxide are extremely invasive and can leave your teeth irreversibly damaged by cutting your enamel.
Contains a high level of oxidation which removes tough stains that have built up on the surface of and behind the enamel. Furthermore, it will pass through the dentine layer, neutralising even deeper stains.
Hydroxyapatite
This is one of the components that makes up your tooth enamel, cementum and dentin. It is what gives your teeth and bones their hard and strong quality.
The use of Hydroxyapitite in our whitening formula will prevent demineralisation, whilst rebuilding worn tooth enamel. It will also help to reduce plaque, bacteria and tooth sensitivity.
Potassium Nitrate
Prevents tooth sensitivity whilst also having a whitening effect. It is able to do this by travelling through the tooth dentin and enamel into the pulp chamber. Here it calms the nerves and decreases dental fibres depolarising.
How does our formula work?
The oxidation (teeth whitening) process occurs when stained teeth come into contact with a whitening agent.
Our formula oxidises stains and alters the molecules that are responsible for holding colour. Simply put, the bleaching agent, enters through the enamel of teeth and breaks down these molecules into smaller, simpler forms. The smaller the molecule, the lighter in colour, resulting in an overall whiter appearance of the tooth.
What is the difference between the kit and strips?
Our Teeth Whitening Kit offers a higher percentage of PAP (Our active whitening ingredient) alongside the addition of an LED Light activator. Our Whitening Strips are a clean and convenient on-the-go whitening solution for whitening wherever you are.
The LED Light
Our 5 bulb LED light accelerates the whitening process by amplifying the oxidation reaction between our formula and the stains within your teeth. Although the whitening gels do the majority of the work, the LED light increases the speed at which the results are achieved.
